The Greenville County Golf Association was founded in 1967, and is responsible for carrying out major championship amateur events in Greenville County, including the County Amateur, held the last week of July, Upstate Two Man Championship, a two man team event each spring, Upstate Amateur, held end of August and the Senior Championship.
